For your consideration we offer a Martin SPD-16K Acoustic Guitar w/OHSC from 2003-04 in Natural finish. The Martin SPD-16K is a rare, limited-run Special Edition dreadnought acoustic guitar manufactured by C.F. Martin & Co. in Nazareth, Pennsylvania between 1997 and 2005. It is highly regarded by players for blending mid-tier 16-series construction with premium wood selection and luxury “Style 45” cosmetic appointments typically reserved for Martin’s highest-end models.

A repaired top crack, as done by the repair shop of Elderly Instruments in Michigan, tight and right, but priced with this in  mind.  Otherwise solid very good condition. No pick up. The defining trait of the SPD-16K is its use of highly figured, colorful Hawaiian Koa wood:Top Wood: Solid Sitka Spruce, paired with hybrid “A-frame” scalloped bracing for maximum projection and punch. Back & Sides: Solid 2-piece Hawaiian Koa. Neck: Solid genuine Mahogany with a comfortable modified low oval profile. Fingerboard & Bridge: East Indian Rosewood. Nut Width: Standard 1 11/16 inches (approx. 42.5mm) with a 25.4-inch long scale length.
