Gibson J-45 Acoustic Guitar w/OHSC 1990- Natural

For your consideration we have a 1990 Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar w/OHSC and warranty card, natural finish. Freshly set up with DR Rare 12’s with 12th fret action (top of fret crown to bottom of low E string) of 1.7mm. Ready to go. This guitar is overall pretty clean, no repair, no abuse, a lovely spruce top with some light bear clawing, mahogany all around. Classic. A medium C neck profile with a hint of a soft V to it, very comfie. This guitar early on had a pickup installed, a pro install, but the p’up failed. The p’up itself was from 1987, so we removed the preamp and wires, hence to two holes in the side, left the pickup element and the input jack, which serves as a strap button. The pickup element is integrated in to the saddle, so one might want to swap a fresh saddle, but at this point, to be clear, this guitar sounds outstanding. Hands down one of the nicer sounding J-45’s I have played. This guitar sounds great, powerful, warm and even playing finger style, strumming, flat picking, loves a capo. You name it. This would make an outstanding guitar for a working singer songwriter. Re-saddle it, re-pick up it, leave it be, either way, this one has delighted every body who has played it.
