1991 Fender ST-72 Yngvie Malmsteen Standard Stratocaster- Vintage White

On consignment we have a Made in Japan (Fugijen) 1991 Fender ST-72  Yngvie Malmsteen Standard Stratocaster w/lite gig bag in Vintage White in good condition. This guitar is not stock, but has been modified towards many of the features of the (at the time) USA version of this guitar. Converted to a brass nut. American Standard saddles. Non-original pickguard custom ordered from 920D, Dimarzio DP2’s in the neck and middle, DP1 in the neck. The original guard had been highly modified as is no longer available, this guard was ordered to get it in the pocket of the Yngvie specs of the USA. Very nice. Heavily shielded p’up and control cavities. Being from this era, this guitar has “shallow” scallops that resolve before contact with the frets, and is currently custom set up with Ernie Ball 8’s with a 12th fret string action of 1.1mm. Sorry, we do not have the tremolo bar for this guitar. Stock basswood body weighing 7# 4oz., a very wieldy guitar. This guitar has been played, seemingly a lot, but in good condition. Lots of dings and swirls in the finish. Some wear to the neck, frets 80%, but is set up and plays quite nice. Some fretboard wear, a big ding in the back of the headstock.
