Description
From an estate we have a 1990s Regal RC-51 Tricone Resonator in Nickel Plated Brass, good condition, but certainly has a very worn, authentic patina, but no abuse. This guitar has a bit of a story. It is a roundneck, but is currently set up as a square neck would be, set high for lap playing, check out the photos. If you wanted to, you could switch this back, but this critter is pretty spiffy as it is. This guitar has what I believe to be a Highlander internal pickup installed (as best as I can see), but I can not check it as we have not been able to locate the external power supply mandatory for it to work, for all I know, the estate might have never had it. These supplies are somewhat unobtanium these days. This Tricone has been re-coned with National resonator cones, which sound awesome. The former owner rebranded the headstock with National decals, which we chose to remove, because this is not a National, it is clearly a Regal. In our opinion, this is a sleeper. It has a truly great sound, authentic, nice volume and voice. The patina is pretty rad, too. Comes with a hardshell case.
