The Story of The Guitar Trader

The Guitar Trader has a rich history, built around instruments, music, and the people who came through the shop.
It was started by Steve Sherman in the early 2000s as a consignment shop for all types of merchandise that Steve and his sister would list on eBay for people.
Over time, Steve collected a large number of musical instruments, and he and I became friends.
Eventually, Steve decided that he wanted to focus on buying and selling instruments and changed the name of the consignment shop to The Guitar Trader.
During that transition, Dave Harris became part of the story, helping Steve build The Guitar Trader. Autumn Greenfield, known as “The Guitar Mama,” was also there in those early days, setting up guitars.
Steve operated The Guitar Trader for many years, and our friendship grew.
In 2011, Steve decided he wanted to move to California and offered to sell me The Guitar Trader.
The Guitar Trader operated with great success from 2011 through 2020. Dave Harris still works with me to this day.
I have so much more that I want to share about what happened during those years. I have amazing friends to pay tribute to and a lot of pictures to share.
Stay tuned!
Through the years
