Vintage (RARE) Fender Performer Bass. In excellent condition. (See pictures!)

These were only being made during a short period of time from 1986-87. The rumor is that Fender had to stop making them because they were threatened with a lawsuit by Ibanez over the headstock and neck design. (However, that rumor has not been substantiated!)

They have become very popular collectors items.

This bass was designed to be the upscale version of the Fender Jazz Bass. Because of it’s very thin neck (thinner than a strat!), it makes lead-bass playing much nicer.

  • 34″ scale
  • Alder body
  • Maple neck
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • 2 “special design” single coil pickups
  • Controls are: Tone, Volume, Pickup Selector Switch and TBX Circuit Control (Treble Bass eXpander)

Includes original hardshell case.
